The Northants MG Owners’ Club was established in 1978 to encourage like-minded enthusiasts of the MG marque to join together for social events and activities.

The club holds regular meetings twice a month.
The Northampton Casuals Rugby Club is the venue for the evening meeting, on the second Wednesday of the month at around 8pm.
Whilst the other, held at The Aviator Hotel, Sywell on the last Sunday of the month from 12noon. Existing members and those wishing to join the club are equally welcomed at all times.

As well as the club meetings, members receive a monthly magazine - More Graffiti - which includes details of forthcoming events and articles of interest submitted by members themselves.

There are many events around the country throughout the year and you can almost guarantee that at least one of our members will attend every one of them. Many times, we organise a convoy of cars which, as well as looking quite impressive as we drive through the countryside, can be great fun. We usually plan picturesque drives and sometimes stop off at a pub on the way!

At the larger meetings, we may spend the weekend camping or caravanning. The club often has an allocated spot which we nearly always fill.

During the past few years, we have held our own charity event, The Rose of the Shires road run. Usually starting and finishing at Sywell airfield, near Northampton, the run has taken ralliers around some of the idyllic countryside of Northamptonshire and has included interesting picnic spots en route.
The events have been organised to raise funds for our nominated charity which, for the past few years, has been the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA). Sadly, we are not able to organise the event in 2010 but hope to run the event again in 2011.

In the Spring, we have a large contingent who travel to the Channel Islands for The Jersey MGOC Spring Rally, always an enjoyable five day trip.

On a more regular basis, we have our own small events, sometimes as part of our monthly meetings. We have quiz nights, treasure hunts, driving skills tests, and trips to local entertainment venues. And at Christmas, we always have a grand get-together with a slap up meal to boot!

It’s not just about talking cars... It’s about having fun! Whether you drive a K3 or a ZT-T, an MGB or an MGF, even if you don't own an MG and are just interested, you’re more than welcome to join us.
